"Working with Tom and TEST on our website build was a highly positive experience. We had a fairly tight deadline to meet, but the process was managed seamlessly. From the first briefing to final delivery, they understood our vision and we are delighted with the finished site."

Merch Magazine is the BPMA's bi-monthly trade publication — a return to print that combines the authority of a physical magazine with the reach of a fully digital platform. Launched in January 2026 as the successor to Product Media Magazine, it serves suppliers, distributors, agencies, and brands across the promotional merchandise industry. Our task was to build a dedicated website that could support both the editorial and commercial ambitions of the publication from day one.

Website UI / UX
We designed and built a clean, editorial-led platform on WordPress, taking inspiration from premium publishing sites to create a reading experience that reflects the quality of the magazine itself.
The site structure was built around the bi-monthly publication cycle, with a dedicated Latest Issue page, a searchable article library, and a Previous Issues archive — making it easy for readers to explore content across every edition. A custom CMS setup gives the BPMA editorial team full control over publishing, with the ability to upload new issues, manage article tagging and categorisation, and embed PDF editions — all without technical support.

Content & Engagement
Alongside the editorial experience, we integrated a full subscription and sign-up flow connected to HubSpot — consistent with the BPMA's main membership platform — allowing readers to register for both digital updates and the print edition.
GDPR-compliant consent, inline CTAs, and an optional pop-up ensure data capture is seamless without disrupting the reading experience. The site also features a dedicated Advertising page with a downloadable media pack, giving commercial partners everything they need to get involved with the publication. The result is a publishing platform that launched on time, on budget, and on brief — giving Merch Magazine a digital home worthy of its return to print, and giving the BPMA a fully connected content ecosystem built for growth.
